To support increased water demand in an island environment of Paxoi, Aqua Genesi undertook the design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of a 22 m³/day seawater desalination system, delivered as a fully containerized solution inside an ISO Container (Isobox).

The core objective of the project was to ensure reliable and consistent production of high-quality freshwater, while protecting the equipment from harsh coastal conditions and minimizing on-site works. The containerized (Isobox) approach enabled factory-style assembly in a controlled environment, with the system delivered pre-piped and pre-wired, aiming for fast transportation, quick installation and immediate start-up.

The project scope included:

  • application engineering and detailed container layout design
  • fabrication/assembly of the plant, including electrical panel and automation integration
  • preparation for straightforward site interfaces (seawater feed, product water, brine discharge, power supply)
  • transportation and on-site installation, hydraulic/electrical connections
  • testing, fine-tuning, commissioning and handover in full operational condition
  • During start-up, operating parameters were adjusted to achieve stable performance and efficient operation, including product water quality verification and validation of all functional setpoints. The final result was a robust, service-friendly installation with reduced project time thanks to the containerized concept.

This completed project is a representative example of Aqua Genesi’s delivery approach: end-to-end engineering, quality-driven fabrication, rapid deployment and safe, dependable operation in demanding environments.
